Chun-Hsu graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2006 with Bachelor of Engineering (Software, Honours) and Bachelor of Science (Physics, Hon.). He started his PhD under Prof. Hollenberg and Dr. Greentree. His research interest is in the area of quantum optics with a particular interest in the application of high-quality cavity to manipulate and prepare quantum states, and to modify photon-emission dynamics of quantum emitter. His research has provided an understanding on the cavity-assisted photon generation with diamond defects and thereby established the optimal operation condition. The improvements include enhanced emission rate and spectral purity, directed emission and improved pulse envelope. Such high-performance diamond-based single photon source has important applications in quantum communication and computing.
